About this event
Have you ever wondered how a yummy Bao Bun (包子) is made? Well, ThinkChinese can show you!
Led by our very own Briony Sun (who, like the Bao Bun, originates from north-east China!), this event will enable you to make the yummiest Bao Bun in your own home. You will be introduced to techniques enabling you to prepare the ingredients, make the skin of the bun, steaming, and even consumption! Yes, you just have to eat them properly!
Join us at 10 St James Street on Saturday 15th of July at 4:00 pm for one and a half hours. This event is particularly suitable for families or people with an interest in Chinese food and culture.
Programme
- Guests will be welcomed with Tieguanyin tea – a type of Oolong tea which originates from Fujian Province of south China.
- Making the dough, filling and wrapping techniques.
- Cooking – a quick talk on Chinese culinary culture will be given by our teachers while you wait for your delicious Bao Buns to be ready!
