Chinese Proficiency Courses Available to Boost Local Business’s Confidence in Dealing with China

The Chinese market has long been appealing to Jersey local businesses, especially for industries including finance, tourism, technology and agriculture. For a long time the same businesses have lacked the understanding and know-how to break into the market or to maintain productive relationships.

ThinkChinese’s new HSK Level 1 language proficiency course is designed to equip candidates with essential language skills to develop relationships with China. Premised on the global certification framework, the new HSK course also incorporates learning of typical business conventions and customs. Apart from the opportunity to obtain a global certificate by the end of the course, candidates can also sign up for two sessions which focus on doing business in China.

Depending on the professional backgrounds of each cohort, the course leader Briony Sun will refine her sessions to suit the candidates’ needs.

The HSK courses were first introduced to Jersey by ThinkChinese in 2017. To date, over a hundred students from Jersey industries attended and benefited from the offering. Here is what the candidates say about us –

“Have been learning mandarin with ThinkChinese for a few years now – love it – the teachers are great and it’s an interesting language! We are lucky to have such good teachers, and recourse for business on the Island!”
– Laura

“ThinkChinese has the best teachers. They make learning fun and easily accessible. Each lesson is a social occasion too, and I really look forward to my lessons each week.”
– Jo

Having done the HSK 1 course, I was impressed by how quickly I could see an improvement. These classes are small providing a very friendly environment. If you are thinking about studying Chinese, to pick up a new skill or for business purpose, this is the place to go.”
– Sara

The next cohort is due to start on 18th April. The company offers one hour tuition each week and the entire course will last 16 weeks. Corporate discount is available for group sign up.
